CIT Group Inc. Sells Mortgage Backed Securities to Freddie Mac

CIT Group Inc., a provider of financial products and services, has agreed to sell Freddie Mac somewhere between $3.5 to $4.2 billion of “AAA-rated” securities backed by $6 billion of residential mortgages, the company said in a press release Wednesday. The transaction is scheduled to occur later this month.
