DLJ Mortgage Capital Inc., a unit of Credit Suisse that purchases mortgage loans from lenders, has filed lawsuits against three subprime lenders including Sunset Direct
Lending LLC, Infinity Home Mortgage Co. Inc., and Netbank Inc., according to Reuters news agency.
Reuters says the company filed lawsuits alleging that Sunset Direct Lending and Infinity Home Mortgage failed to repurchase loans they originated and broke contractual agreements. According to Reuters news reports, DLJ Mortgage Capital also accused Netbank Inc. of failing to provide sufficient funds and information related to purchased loans.
Credit Suisse announced more changes on Thursday when it released a statement saying Leonhard H. Fischer resigned as chief executive officer for the Credit Suisse region covering Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The release says Fischer resigned to pursue a career opportunity outside the bank. Michael G. Philipp, chairman of the EMEA region, is temporarily serving in Fischer’s place.
