Elk Software, a software development company, recently announced the release of Short Sale Commander 3.0, an upgrade to its web-based management and processing software.

This new upgrade will allow homeowners, buyer’s agents, listing agents, title companies, and others involved in the short sale process “guest access” to the files assigned to them. An unlimited number of guest users can be added, and these users do not need to download any software.
Users can choose to give guest access to anyone in the user manager and can preview exactly what the guest user will see before sending them their login information. Guest users will see the comments in the activity log that a user “shares” and other limited information. Guest users will also have the ability to add comments directly into the file.
In addition to granting access to guests, Short Sale Commander Version 3.0 also provides users with activity log enhancements. Along with “sharing” of comments for guests, users can now right click on any comment and e-mail it out without having to re-type or copy and paste the comment. In addition, users now have the ability to edit any activity log entry, making it possible to add or change any previous comment.
E-mail capabilities have also been expanded, and users can now add a signature to e-mails automatically. Users have the ability to copy and blind copy e-mail recipients, and the size limit of outgoing e-mails has been increased. Furthermore, packages can now be created with encrypted PDF files.
“Communication with agents and sellers is a significant part of running an efficient and profitable short sale business,” says Erik Lovell, president of Elk Software, the makers of Short Sale Commander. “Version 3.0 will give our users more time so they can build their short sale business and not have to proactively call or email to keep their clients updated.”
