Lewisville, Texas-based EMC Mortgage Corporation announced Thursday that Carol Young has been promoted to senior vice president
within the financial operations division. In her new role, Carol will manage a staff of 45 employees while also playing a major role in managing the Asset Control and Compliance areas, which include Loans Serviced By Others (LSBO), General Ledger (G/L) & Cash Controls, the up and coming Post-Transfer group, as well as Sub and Interim Servicer Oversight.
Carol, who joined EMC as assistant manager of LSBO in 2002, brings years of experience to her new position. Prior to joining EMC, Carol spent 17 years at National Telemanagement Corp. (NTC), a privately held telecom company specializing in new product and service development, where she served in the roles of corporate controller and treasurer for NTC.
“Carol’s proven track record over the past five years at EMC along with her extensive financial services experience will benefit us greatly as we continue to grow our operation,” said Jenna Kemp, senior vice president of financial operations. “We are excited to promote from within our own department for this important position. Carol will be a wonderful addition to our seasoned senior management team.”
Carol, who is a CPA, earned an M.S. and B.S. in accounting with an emphasis in federal income tax from the University of North Texas in Denton. EMC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Bear Stearns Companies Inc., is a mortgage banking company specializing in the acquisition, servicing and disposition of residential mortgage loans.
