The Neighborhood Housing Services of Chicago (NHS) recently presented its 2008 Vision Award to attorney Denis Pierce, Pierce & Associates, and the Pierce Family Charitable Foundation of Chicago, Illinois. NHS is the largest housing counseling agency in Illinois with nine branch offices in and around Chicago.

At NHS’ annual meeting, Bruce Gottschall, the organization’s executive director, expressed his appreciation for the work that has been done in helping build a working relationship between the loss mitigation team at Pierce & Associates and the NHS counseling staff. The partnership has helped expedite and strengthen the entire loss mitigation process, Gottschall said.
Pierce & Associates was also honored for the substantial financial contribution it made to NHS to help cover operational expenses and promote loss mitigation efforts with delinquent homeowners.
In accepting the award, Denis Pierce said, “Law firms representing the mortgage lending community should be part of the solution to the expanding foreclosure crisis.”
The Pierce Family Charitable Foundation also provided funding to NHS to expand its resource development initiatives and media relations efforts.
