First American CoreLogic, a division of The First American Corp. and a provider of property information, analytics and services, has launched an initiative that offers concerned
homeowners and industry observers data and information about the California wildfires.
First American CoreLogic announced on its Web site this week that, “First American CoreLogic is making available a series of Fire Surface Maps and an affected list of zip codes associated with the October 2007 Southern California wildfires.” The company added that, “Nationwide disaster data is continually updated in First American CoreLogic databases including the Southern California wildfire disaster information.”
On First American’s maps, observers can pinpoint active wildfires in California and scope out the containment boundaries on those particular fires.
Below is a list of some of the fires that First American CoreLogic is tracking and mapping:
Los Angeles County: Buckweed Fire, Canyon Fire
Los Angeles/Ventura Counties: Ranch Fire
San Bernardino County: Grass Valley Fire
