HFF Chicago Hires New Director of Debt Placement Group

Holliday Fenoglio Fowler, L.P. (HFF), a provider of commercial real estate and capital markets services, recently announced that Stephen Skok is the firm’s new managing director in the debt placement group in its Chicago office.

Prior to joining HFF, Skok worked for Jones Lang LaSalle, Cohen Financial, Lincoln Property Company, and CBRE. A 23-year veteran in the commercial real estate industry, Skok has been involved in more than $5 billion of commercial real estate transactions. In his new role, he will work on originating debt, equity, and structured finance transactions throughout the Midwest.

“We are thrilled to have a seasoned professional such as Steve join our HFF team,” said Michael Kavanau, senior managing director and co-office head of HFF’s Chicago office. “He brings with him a wealth of experience and relationships that will prove to be an invaluable resource for our debt placement group,”

Skok is an Illinois licensed real estate broker and an active member of International Council of Shopping Centers, National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, and Mortgage Bankers Association. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from the University of Arizona.
