New York-based JPMorgan Chase named Barry Zubrow chief risk officer this week and appointed him to the company’s operating committee.

In a press release, JPMorgan says, “Mr. Zubrow will oversee all risk management for the company – working closely with senior risk managers and business heads around the firm, and advising the senior leadership team on risk strategy and policy.”
Zubrow, who reports to Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Jamie Dimon, joins JPMorgan from ITM LLC, a private investment management firm where he served as president.
“The Chief Risk Officer function is a critical role for our company, and I’m thrilled that we’ve attracted someone of Barry’s caliber and experience to this position,” said Dimon. “In addition to his distinguished work in public service, Barry has excelled in critical senior functions at Goldman Sachs, acting as chief credit officer, chief administrative officer, and co-Chairman of the Risk Committee.”
