Las Vegas Realtors Expand Commercial Real Estate Research Database

In an endeavor to drastically expand the size and quality of their repository of Las Vegas commercial real estate data, Commercial Alliance Las Vegas (CALV), operated by the greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors, recently joined forces with Restrepo Consulting Group (RCG) and a leading national real estate data provider.

Since 2004, CALV has partnered with Catylist, a Chicago-based commercial real estate marketing company, in an effort to provide members with a powerful listing and marketing commercial information exchange (CIE). Through this partnership, members have the ability to share and market properties more efficiently, and data entered by members is owned and controlled by the association on behalf of their commercial real estate community.

Now, CALV is aiming to develop an affordable, fully researched database that includes all commercial land and building records in the greater Las Vegas market area in addition to recent sale and lease transactions and currently listed properties. Through its partnership with Catylist, nearly 150,000 property records and 25,000 comparables were licensed and imported into the CIE, complete with tax and assessment information, zoning, ownership details, and verified sales transactions.

Along with a national real estate data provider, RCG, who has been researching the Las Vegas market for years, provided the data necessary for this database. John Restrepo, RCG founder, and his team have been hired to track and verify member-entered listings, transactions, and property data on an on-going basis. According to RCG, the company has a strong market position in meeting client requirements through its focus on innovative approaches to traditional questions, its emphasis on quality information and sound methodologies, and by providing a high level of service in a timely fashion.

Over the past year CALV experienced significant growth and is currently supported by over 100 companies. According to the company, this data integration further established their CIE as the most comprehensive and accurate source of commercial real estate data in the market, bringing them closing to their goal of compiling a permanent record of each building or land parcel along with a complete listing and transaction history.
