NewOak Capital LLC announced Monday the appointment of Carlos A.G. Vigon as managing director of the firm’s commercial real estate investments and services division.
Vigon will focus on expanding NewOak Capital’s capabilities in commercial real estate principal investments, asset management, private equity, and advisory services across the property, loan, and commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) segments.

“Given the challenging conditions facing the commercial real estate markets, Carlos’ proven track record and visionary business leadership experience in the field of real estate is a great fit with the successful execution of NewOak’s forward-thinking real estate investment strategies,” said Ron D’Vari, CEO and co-founder.
Vigon has over 22 years of commercial real estate experience as an investor, asset manager, and trader.
Since 2000, he was president and founder of Wilshire Holdings LLC in Manhattan Beach, California, a real estate private equity firm focusing on large-scale national acquisitions, repositioning, trading, private placements, and land development.
Vigon’s previous positions include serving as a marketing manager at SCI Investments in Los Angeles, where he led all aspects of acquisition and marketing, and VP of Realty Consultants Corporation in Palm Desert, California, where he launched distressed real estate investment syndications.
Vigon graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles, and has also completed coursework at UCLA Graduate School of Management, where he received the distinguished alumni award.
