NewOak Capital, a New York-based advisory, asset management, and capital markets firm, recently hired David Eyzenberg as managing director and head of the commercial real estate division.

Concurrently with his new position, Eyzenberg will continue to serve as an adjunct professor in the NYU masters of science in real estate program.

Before joining the firm, Eyzenberg was president of Prodigious Capital Group. Prior to forming Prodigious Capital, he was head of the New York office of Madison Capital Group. He was also a director at Wall Street Realty Capital and at Greenstreet Partners. In addition, Eyzenberg has held positions at Ramius Capital Group and Merrill Lynch’s Real Estate Planning and Transactions Group.

Eyzenberg is a graduate of New York University, where he received a bachelor’s and master’s degree in real estate finance and investment. He also served as VP of the NYU RE Masters Alumni Board. A former board member of several nonprofit civic organizations, he is an active member of ICSC, RELA, YMBA, MBA, ULI, and the NRC.
