NewOak Capital Names New Head of Commercial Real Estate

NewOak Capital, a New York-based advisory, asset management, and capital markets firm, recently hired David Eyzenberg as managing director and head of the commercial real estate division.

Concurrently with his new position, Eyzenberg will continue to serve as an adjunct professor in the NYU masters of science in real estate program.

“Commercial real estate debt and equity have been a key focus of our firm and the markets,” said Ron D’Vari, CEO and co-founder of NewOak Capital. “David has the rare

optimal breadth and depth in commercial real estate investment banking, financing, recapitalization, underwriting, and investment management. We are very pleased to have David help us build an agile and responsive commercial real estate team.”

Before joining the firm, Eyzenberg was president of Prodigious Capital Group. Prior to forming Prodigious Capital, he was head of the New York office of Madison Capital Group. He was also a director at Wall Street Realty Capital and at Greenstreet Partners. In addition, Eyzenberg has held positions at Ramius Capital Group and Merrill Lynch’s Real Estate Planning and Transactions Group.

“The depth of David’s real estate expertise and experience is ideally suited for our clients and the NewOak platform,” said James Frischling, president and co-founder of NewOak Capital.

Eyzenberg is a graduate of New York University, where he received a bachelor’s and master’s degree in real estate finance and investment. He also served as VP of the NYU RE Masters Alumni Board. A former board member of several nonprofit civic organizations, he is an active member of ICSC, RELA, YMBA, MBA, ULI, and the NRC.
