PRISM Title Expands Into Minnesota

Kentucky-based PRISM Title and Closing Services, a regional REO title and closing company, recently announced that it has expanded its services to include the state of Minnesota. With the addition of Minnesota, the company now performs REO title and closing services in five states, also including Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, and Michigan.
“We had several of our bank clients contact us to say that due to the marked increase in REO properties in Minnesota, their current vendors were having difficulty keeping up with the volume,” Jane Schulte, COO of PRISM, explained. “So we went to work to perform research and development on the state’s nuances in order to fill this need.”

PRISM has grown from a staff of eight to 65 in the last two years and has plans to move to a larger office space in October to accommodate continued growth, a testament to current market conditions and banks’ growing REO inventories.
“We have worked very hard to fine-tune our processes to ensure that we understand how to perform in every county of each state so that we maintain the integrity of our mission of accountability,” said Kim Jehn, PRISM’s client relations manager.
PRISM’s title attorney, Jenna Bryan, said that “PRISM’s outside-the-box thinking in clearing title defects, and proactive versus reactive approach is a big part of why we have won the respect and loyalty of our clients.”
The states that PRISM services, particularly Ohio and Michigan, are among the highest foreclosure states in the country. PRISM said it plans to continue its growth into additional states as its clients’ needs dictate, but not for the sake of simply adding states. “We go where our clients need us as long as we are sure we can provide them with the same great service they are used to,” Schulte added.
