Safeguard Properties grew its leadership team with two executive appointments. Joe Iafigliola was hired for a newly created position, VP of vendor management, and Wendy Anderson joined the company’s legal team as an attorney.

Iafigliola is charged with leading Safeguard’s strategic initiatives involving the management of the company’s nationwide network of vendors who perform preservation and maintenance functions for its clients. Before joining Safeguard, Iafigliola held leadership positions with McMaster-Carr Supply Company, Newell/Rubbermaid, and Procter & Gamble.
Iafigliola graduated summa cum laude from Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and earned his MBA from Case Western Reserve University. He is a certified management accountant and serves as a board member and treasurer for the Cleveland Film Commission.
Anderson is the latest addition to Safeguard’s legal department. As an attorney, Anderson is responsible for contract negotiations, monitoring and compliance, evaluating regulatory impact, and supporting internal operations. Previously, she served as corporate attorney with GCA Services Group Inc., and in-house counsel for National Retail Properties Inc. in Orlando.
Anderson earned her undergraduate degree in advertising from the University of Florida and pursued her Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida’s College of Law. She currently serves on the board of directors for Friends of CASA for Kids in Geauga County, Ohio, and she’s a volunteer court-appointed special advocate (CASA) in Geauga County’s Juvenile Court.
Safeguard Properties inspects and maintains defaulted and foreclosed properties for mortgage service companies, lenders, investors and other financial institutions. The company employs approximately 1,700 people.
