Seth Wheeler Resigns From the Treasury Department

After two-and-a-half years, Seth Wheeler has resigned from his post as senior advisor for the U.S. Treasury Department.

Wheeler, originally hired under former Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, was a key architect in the administration’s Home Affordable Modification Program.

In an e-mail announcing his resignation, Wheeler said, “It has been an honor and privilege to serve under both Secretaries Paulson and Geithner. I’d like to extend a heartfelt thanks to you all, both my talented colleagues at Treasury, HUD, and the White House, as well as many others outside the administration, who have contributed so much during challenging times.”
