Marcy Ford, EVP and managing partner for the bankruptcy and foreclosure first legal department of Farmington Hills-based Trott & Trott, P.C., has been recognized by Michigan Lawyers Weekly with the “Leaders in the Law” award.

Founded in 1986, Michigan Lawyers Weekly provides information on legal rulings, verdicts and settlements, legal opinions, discipline matters, and all news vital to attorneys in the state of Michigan.
The publication’s “Leaders in the Law” award honors 25 members of the state’s legal community. Recipients exemplify the noble tradition of the legal profession; win cases and solve problems with utmost integrity; inspire and lead others; act as role models and mentors; and, display passion on behalf of clients and the community.

Ford is a 1984 graduate of Western Michigan University, where she also received her master’s degree with honors in 1986. She is a 1993 cum laude graduate of Wayne State University Law School.
Ford serves on the board of the Consumer Bankruptcy Association for the Eastern district of Michigan, as well as a board member and the secretary of USFN. Additionally, she serves as the loss mitigation subcommittee assistant chair for the National Association of Chapter 13 Trustees, and was recently appointed to the default advisory group for Freddie Mac.
