ZDS to Provide Collateral Valuation Reports Through New Partnership

San Jose, California-based Zone Data Systems, LLC (ZDS), with 233 member appraisal companies in 25 states that

employ more than 500 appraisers, recently announced that it has joined forces with Silicon Valley, California-based Bradford Technologies, Inc., in order to provide clients with the new Collateral Valuation Report (CVR).

ZDS said the CVR is an innovative, Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice-compliant appraisal product that incorporates regression analysis performed by the appraiser to support the value conclusion. This statistically supported valuation report and software were developed by Bradford Technologies as part of its suite of AppraisalWorld services for appraisers.

According to Sylvia Kainz, COO of AppraisalWorld, CVR-certified appraisers are the local experts in their markets, with more experience, education, and knowledge of local market conditions. So before leveraging the CVR product, ZDS said its appraisers will undergo a strict training program that includes a statistics component with exam, and hands-on training in their local markets.

“The CVR product compliments our efforts to re-engineer the appraisal process,” said Leo Savoie, SRA, chairman of the board of ZDS. “We will be working with Bradford Technologies to create a superior valuation product that takes advantage of their technology and our dynamic, appraiser-based valuation database.”

Jeff Bradford, CEO of Bradford Technologies, said ZDS’s desire to break out of the status quo and develop advances in appraising methodology parallels the work Bradford Technologies is already doing. He said coupling the refined zone data with the firm’s analytical technology will produce exceptionally reliable valuation products.

“This is the perfect marriage of technology, appraisal expertise, and data,” Bradford said. “A local appraiser empowered with these tools can effectively and efficiently meet client needs, all at a lower cost.”
