The Week Ahead: Pick the Brains of the Fed Presidents

Federal ReserveFor anyone hoping for insights straight from the Presidents of the nation’s Federal Reserve Banks, this is a good week to clear your calendar. Fed Presidents from nearly a half dozen different Federal Reserve Banks are delivering speeches or participating in Q&As for various events around the country this week.

On Monday, January 8, at 12:40 p.m. EST, Atlanta Federal Reserve Bank President Raphael Bostic is set to speak on "Economic Outlook and Monetary Policy" at the Rotary Club of Atlanta in Atlanta, Georgia. The event will include an audience and media Q&A.

On Tuesday, January 9, at 10 a.m. EST, Minneapolis Federal Reserve Bank President Neel Kashkari will participate in a moderated Q&A at Cargill Headquarters in Minnesota, with an audience Q&A.

Chicago Federal Reserve Bank President Charles Evans will speak about current economic conditions and monetary policy at the Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Rotary Club 2018 Economic Breakfast in Lake Forest, Illinois, on Wednesday, January 10. The event is scheduled for 9 a.m. EST, with an audience and media Q&A included.

Also on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. EST, St. Louis Federal Reserve Bank President James Bullard will deliver a presentation on the "U.S. Economy and Monetary Policy" at the 2018 Economic Outlook event in St. Louis, with audience Q&A.

Finally, on Friday, January 12, at 4:15 p.m. EST, Boston Federal Reserve Bank President Eric Rosengren will deliver the keynote address at the Global Interdependence Center and University of California, San Diego Conference on Money, Models, and Digital Innovation in La Jolla, California.
