Assurant Appoints New SVP, Mortgage Solutions

Global risk management solutions provider Assurant, Inc. has appointed Daniel Hoppes as the company’s Senior Vice President, Mortgage Solutions.

In his new role with Assurant, Hoppes’ responsibilities will include leading all aspects of the company’s operations and strategy with a focus on advancing the company’s position as a leader in the mortgage services industry. Hoppes will oversee the Assurant Valuations, Field Services, and Mortgage Technology product lines, as well as American Title, Inc., which Assurant acquired in July 2016. He will be based in North Richland Hills, Texas.

Hoppes’ more than 20 years of experience leading companies in the financial services, asset management, and consumer retail industries include servicing as SVP for CoreLogic, leading Asset Management and Processing Solutions. At CoreLogic, Hoppes drove segment profitability while facing a market downturn, and significant operational improvements occurred on his watch. Prior to working at CoreLogic, Hoppes co-founded and served as chief operating officer with Sabal Financial Group and also served as SVP with IndyMac Federal Bank.
