Rubin Lublin Receives ALTA Best Practices Compliance Certification

real-estate-law-twoRubin Lublin, LLC, a regional boutique law firm servicing real estate-related clientele in Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Alabama, has received a Certification of Attestation for the American Land Title Association (ALTA) Best Practices Certification from independent accounting firm Frazier & Deeter.

The law firm conducted an extensive self-certification review of its closing departments’ compliance with ALTA Best Practice requirements prior to the attestation review. After determining it was in compliance, Rubin Lublin voluntarily sought independent third-party certification.

“We want to demonstrate our commitment to protecting the lenders and our clients, including buyers and sellers who come through our offices, by seeking the highest level of certification and receiving an attestation from an independent accounting firm,” said Peter Lublin, senior partner with Rubin Lublin, LLC.

In order to receive the most effective review, the Rubin Lublin chose a respected CPA firm with industry experience. Frazier & Deeter awarded Rubin Lublin a rating of “Pass” on the law firm’s first submission of all seven ALTA Best Practice Pillars. Those seven pillars are:

  • Licensing
  • Escrow Accounting Procedures
  • Privacy and Information Security
  • Settlement Procedures
  • Title Policy Production & Delivery
  • Professional Liability Insurance Coverage
  • Consumer Complaints

“Rubin Lublin was dedicated to meeting or exceeding the standards set forth by ALTA Best Practices and investing sufficient time and financial resources to ensure their compliance,” said Tracey Webb, Audit Principal with Frazier & Deeter.

The Certification of Attestation covers residential real estate closings for the states of Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi and Tennessee.

Rubin Lublin, LLC, was founded in 2009 by industry veterans Glen Rubin and Peter Lublin. The firm is based in Atlanta with satellite offices in Memphis, Tennessee; Oxford, Mississippi; and Birmingham, Alabama.
