Safeguard Properties Announces Results of Vendor Diversity Survey

Safeguard Properties announced the results of a diversity survey of its vendor network, showing that 33 percent of its contracted services in 2010 went to businesses owned by women, minorities, veterans and people with disabilities. Annual expenditures with these companies exceeded $153 million. Safeguard CEO Alan Jaffa made the announcement on Monday at the company's Eighth Annual Vendor Conference in Cleveland, attended by more than 1,500 vendors from across the country.

Mortgage Contracting Services Appoints Assistant Vice President

Green River Capital, an REO asset management and loss mitigation provider for mortgage servicers, investment firms, credit unions, and banking institutions, announced Tuesday that its REOConnex asset management software is now available via a mobile application for the iPhone and iPad. Audit Finds GSEs’ Regulator Let Complaints Slip Through the Cracks

Servicers have been ordered to institute a clear resolution process for consumer complaints. Accountability when it comes to dealing with distressed borrowers has become a central focus of mortgage servicing reform, but an audit conducted by the Federal Housing Finance Agency's inspector general found that the GSEs' regulator is itself lacking in this area. The report says the agency has let complaints alleging fraud, abuse, and improper foreclosures slip through the cracks with no oversight of their resolution. FHFA says it will take actions to remedy the issue.

CoreLogic, a provider of information, analytics, and business services, now helps regulated financial institutions meet the federal Interagency Appraisal and Evaluation Guidelines for lending decisions via its new property condition report. The company's new product, OnSite, covers 98.7 percent of parcels in the country, contains local market conditions, and complements automated valuation model (AVM) reports.
